Who we are

Hob-hob started with Shu-Mei, a world citizen who made Switzerland home while building a career in marketing in Zurich. Life was busy and although she wanted to make more time to try new things and get out of the daily routine, fixed schedules and traditional courses were often difficult to fit in. She was looking for something more spontaneous and local and kept thinking that there must be someone nearby doing exactly what she would love to learn.

Then Constantin joined the journey. Working in finance but social by nature, he came from France and knew what it was like to be new to a city, always looking for things to do, new activities to try and people with similar interests to meet. For him, discovering a city was not just about finding places, but about meeting the people behind them and sharing experiences together. Yet finding the right people often meant jumping between different groups, platforms and countless messages, making something as simple as practising a hobby much more complicated than it should be.

What brought them together was a shared love for connecting people and a simple belief that we should spend less time behind screens and more time doing things together in real life. They believe hobbies are one of the most natural ways to make that happen, whether it is discovering something new, meeting people nearby or simply enjoying something you love together. Can I book a private session?

Yes, some creators offer the option to book a private session just for you or in a group with your family and friends! You’ll see a special tag for these private sessions. You can send a request for a private session at no cost, and the creator will review it. You’ll only be charged if the creator approves the private session.

Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

Yes, you can cancel based on our agreed cancellation policy. Cancel more than 24 hours in advance to get a full refund. If you cancel within 24 hours, refunds aren’t available. If a creator cancels, you’ll have the option to reschedule or get your money back.

Note: hob-hob connects explorers and creators but doesn’t directly handle cancellations or disputes.
