Cancellation policy

This cancellation policy governs the use of the hob-hob platform. By using the platform, you agree to the terms outlined below. hob-hob operates exclusively as an intermediary, connecting explorers (users booking experiences) with creators (users offering photography-related experiences). hob-hob is not a party to any contract between users and does not organize or provide experiences.

1. Cancellation policy

1.1 A uniform 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all bookings. Cancellations made by the explorer more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will result in a refund of the experience price to the original payment method, minus non-refundable Stripe transaction fees. Hob-hob covers the Stripe transaction fees for cancellations made by the explorer up to 24 hours before the experience. Please note that hob-hob will process the refund manually, which may take a few days. Payments on hob-hob are processed via Stripe, a secure online payment system used to manage financial transactions.

1.2 Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable. The full amount remains with the creator. Exceptions or alternative arrangements may be agreed directly between explorer and creator after a cancellation, but hob-hob is not involved in such arrangements.

1.3 If a creator cancels an experience, the explorer is entitled to a full refund. Any rescheduling must be arranged independently between the parties. hob-hob does not offer or facilitate rescheduling options. Creators are responsible for any potential Stripe transaction fees.

1.4 Hob-hob is not liable for any inconvenience, financial loss, or other damages resulting from cancellations. Hob-hob’s involvement is limited to enforcing the standardized 24-hour cancellation policy and ensuring refunds are processed through Stripe as applicable.

2. Payments, refunds and disputes

2.1 All payments are processed via Stripe and transferred directly from the explorer to the creator upon booking. hob-hob does not hold or manage funds.

2.2 Refunds for valid cancellations under this policy are processed automatically by Stripe, which will automatically process a refund to the explorer’s original payment method. Transaction fees charged by Stripe are non-refundable.

2.3 hob-hob is not responsible for disputes, chargebacks, or refund claims. Any disputes must be resolved directly between the involved parties, and where applicable, through Stripe or the payment provider. Hob-hob has no authority or involvement in the dispute resolution process.

3. No-shows

3.1 If an explorer does not attend the booked experience and fails to cancel within the 24-hour window, no refund will be issued.

3.2 If a creator fails to deliver the scheduled experience, the explorer may seek a refund through Stripe’s or their bank’s dispute resolution mechanisms. hob-hob has no authority over such claims.

3.3 Hob-hob reserves the right to suspend or remove creators who repeatedly fail to honour bookings.

4. Liability

4.1 hob-hob provides the technical infrastructure for bookings and payments. It is not liable for the performance, quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any experience, nor for cancellations, no-shows, or disputes between users.

5. Amendments to cancellation policy

5.1 Hob-hob reserves the right to amend or update this cancellation policy at any time to reflect changes in operations, legal requirements, or platform functionality.

5.2 Users will be notified at least 7 days in advance of significant changes to this policy.

5.3 Notifications of policy changes will be sent via email and platform announcements to ensure users are informed in a timely manner.
