Switzerland is home to many talented women photographers. But when it comes to campaigns, exhibitions, events, panels and other opportunities in the photography world, they are still not always equally visible.

This is something same kollektiv wants to change.

Founded in 2021 by Martina Aulestia and Karin Bischof, same kollektiv brings women photographers across Switzerland together to connect, learn from each other and become more visible. Their goal is to contribute to a more diverse photography world and create a community where people can support and inspire each other.

Creating connections and opportunities

What we like about same kollektiv is that their work goes beyond visibility.

They create spaces where photographers can meet, exchange ideas and continue developing their skills and careers. Throughout the year, they organise workshops, talks, discussions, online sessions and get togethers around photography and the creative industry.

Some events are created especially for their members while many are open to everyone through same kollektiv & friends. It is a nice way to bring different people from the Swiss photography community together.

Helping photographers get discovered

same kollektiv also runs a directory of professional women photographers from across Switzerland.

It allows companies, organisations and anyone looking for a photographer to discover professionals working across different areas, from portraits and events to architecture, food, fashion, reportage and more.

It is a simple but practical way to create more visibility and help talented photographers get discovered.

Photography is where the story of hob-hob started, so connecting with same kollektiv felt very natural to us.

Our communities have different focuses, but we share something important. We believe creativity becomes even better when people connect, share what they know and create together.

At hob-hob, we give local photographers and other creative people a place to turn their passion and knowledge into experiences others can join.
